Jointly striving for a 9+

Contact

Highlights of the collaboration:

For many people, a pet is inseparable from the family. You want the best for your pet: the right food, care and accessories. Beeztees responds to this need with a wide range of special, unique and proprietary products. Products that match the emotion, fun and happy moments with your pet. Almost all pet stores and garden centers in the Netherlands and Belgium sell Beeztees products. This has made the company the most successful supplier of pet accessories in the Netherlands.

Providing added value

“A happy moment with your pet involves a Beeztees product. That extra experience, that added value, that is what we want to offer consumers. With beautiful, own quality products that perfectly match those moments. We have a lot of contact with consumers to discover their needs and continue to develop new products. Close to the customer, with our own products that really add value.”

IT as a facilitator for the business

“You can also add value with IT. We therefore chose SAP at an early stage to get the back end of our organization right. This made it fairly easy, for example, to offer our points of sale dropshipment and respond to the demand for omnichannel. But even after a recent acquisition in Germany, we were able to quickly and easily integrate everything into our systems. That is the core for us: an IT environment that facilitates and grows with us.”

The power of collaboration with Databalance

“Working with Databalance is very pleasant because they have full context, are personally involved and know our company in detail. We have short lines of communication and can switch quickly. We deliberately chose partnerships with specialists. We do not do any management ourselves and can rely on Databalance’s knowledge and experience. What I like most is the stability and continuity. Everything is running, everything is under control. That is the strength of the long-term cooperation we build together.”

Business context is key

Understanding the business context is essential to achieving sustainable collaborations, such as the one between Beeztees and Databalance. We discuss this context at all levels. We want to know on a strategic, tactical and operational level what is going on and what the preconditions are for Beeztees to remain successful.

With all of our customers, we maintain sophisticated governance so that we always have context and can respond to new developments and opportunities. IT must be facilitative to the business, not the other way around. First we understand the business, then we devise, build and manage a customized Managed IT solution. This is how we make the difference together and build a lasting partnership in which we grow and succeed.

A customized private cloud

From Beeztees’ business context, we designed a custom private cloud solution. This took into account all parties that come together in the IT environment, so that everything is actually well organized. Beeztees has grown from 70 to 200 employees both organically and through acquisitions. Thanks to cloud workstations, this growth can be easily accommodated and further expanded.

With over 9,000 items, originating from different countries and destined for various sales outlets, the choice of a robust and supportive ERP package is crucial. Beeztees chose SAP back in 2010 to customize all its primary business processes. The logistics chain is a hygiene factor in a competitive market. This allows Beeztees to fully focus on developing its own products and delivering added value.
For the performance, availability and security of SAP, Beeztees relies on Databalance’s private cloud.

We are very satisfied with the availability and performance of the systems. In addition, it is a nice thought that we can fall back on disaster recovery in the worst case scenario.

Foresight

Beeztees chose early on to fully outsource IT, believing that IT would only become more complex. This turned out to be a far-sighted decision. Already between 2006 and 2010, Beeztees outsourced IT management. Since then, much has changed and much will change.
